Nonprofit organizations, foundations, research institutes, and service providers with $3–$10 million in annual revenue. Organizations of this size typically require both clarity on problem definition and stakeholder buy-in prior to scheduling larger engagements.
The Future Focus Blueprint is also a great option for organizations that wish to develop a detailed request for proposal (RFP) with expert-level support. If you need help articulating your business challenges, site goals, and partner expectations in ways an agency will understand, the blueprint will provide tools for communicating these needs more effectively and attracting the right agency partner.
Our diagnostic interview process is designed for problem definition and team alignment. The goal isn’t yet to “fix” a specific problem but to uncover what the challenges are, why fixing them would make a difference to your organization, and how to build the website that addresses those challenges head-on.
Within our full website engagements, you’ll receive examples of the strategic work you’re most likely imagining. Our practice covers full UX, content, and design strategy, built in collaboration with you and your team. Because ideas have been shared and socialized with your team over the course of our collaboration, there are typically no surprises or “big reveals.”
This process works best for small, 3-to-5-person stakeholder teams. Please invite the team members who will be closest to the day-to-day work and who have the greatest amount of influence on purchasing decisions.
Unless you are a small, founder-led organization, this is likely not the right moment to bring in executives. We’re more than happy to discuss these considerations at length during our fit call—we want to make sure you have the right team there.
You certainly could! Because bigger agencies typically start from the very beginning in discovery, their process is often long, expensive, and inefficient—sometimes it doesn’t surface important questions, answers, or decisions until strategy work begins. We don’t want to put you—or ourselves—in that position.
The Future Focus Blueprint doesn’t take the place of our discovery process, either. We use the information we gather during the blueprint session to roadmap a direction and scope the project appropriately for your goals.
This allows us to make our discovery process more precise. The blueprint session helps us uncover how many additional stakeholders we should interview, which research gaps we need to fill, which tests we should complete, and how to shape our audits once a full discovery engagement kicks off.
No. We’re happy to review previous strategies, brand guidelines, and other internal documentation as part of our overall intake process, but we’re unlikely to take a strategy made by another firm and run with it. We sure will ask you a lot of questions about it during the blueprint session, though!
